About IBPS Clerk
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts a common written exam (CWE) every year for the recruitment of clerical cadre in various banks all across the country. All public sector banks will use the written exam - IBPS Clerk 2019 Exam to recruit candidates for the number of vacancies that are released in the official notification.IBPS Clerk CWE exam will be conducted on two levels- preliminary and mains. Students qualifying both the phases will be finally selected for recruitment.
IBPS Clerk is an entry-level job in different public sector banks (PSB). IBPS Clerk Exam is conducted once in a year to hire candidates for the post of clerical cadre. The IBPS Clerk examination consists of two common written exams (CWE): IBPS Clerk Prelims exam and the IBPS Clerk Mains exam. In every clerical recruitment, it is very important that the candidates are well aware of the regional or local language of the state for which they are applying as IBPS might conduct a regional language proficiency test after the mains examination. After a certain time a clerk can become an officer through internal bank exams. IBPS Clerk is a brilliant opportunity for all seeking a bright career in banking sector.
IBPS has announced the tentative dates for IBPS Clerk 2019 exam. The dates for IBPS Clerk 2019 Preliminary Examination are 7th, 8th, 14th and 21st of October 2019 whereas the mains examination is to be held on 19th January 2020.
IBPS is organizing IBPS Clerk 2019 exam to assess and select candidates for the Clerical post in the various organization. Mentioned below is the detailed scheduled as per the official notification:

The official notification for IBPS Clerk 2019 has been released. The notification entails all the important details regarding the number of vacancies, changes in exam pattern and syllabus (if any), list of centres and eligibility criteria.
The official notification for the post of Clerks in Public Sector Banks is released. The total number of vacancies in the previous year was 7275. This year the vacancies is about to increase to 12075. This means there is a huge scope for candidates to get a seat in banking sector. Following Table gives the complete break up of State-wise vacancies.the candidates of OBC category and 5 years for the applicants of SC/ST Categories.

There will be negative marking for every wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main Examination for which there is a penalty of ¼ or 0.25 of the marks assigned to the particular question.
Approximate salary of bank clerk is 18,000 - 20,000. And other allowances as may be admissible under the rules in force from time to time in the company. The emoluments of a bank clerk may vary from bank to bank but after becoming a clerk there are more opportunities ahead to give internal exams and get promoted to officer grade in a stipulated period of time.
Educational Qualifications:A candidate must possess the minimum qualification of Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate should have passed in English as one of the subjects at SSC/ HSC/Intermediate/ Graduation level. Candidate should possess a certificate in proof of passing the qualifying examination.Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.
